Volunteering within your Organization!
An area Debi feels strongly about! She likes to offer a helping hand when ever time permits!
Being a part of any organization, requires a lot of involvement/volunteering to make it run smoothly and effectively but more importantly allow it to grow.
Debi gets involved in any way possible. Some of the areas are:
2004-2005
Debi became a member of the POC "Western Chapter" (which was run via tele-conference).
She went to the 2005 POC Conference in Toronto for the first time and was overwhelmed by the number of fellow organizers.
2005-2006
Debi served on the POC "Western Chapter" board as membership coordinator. (This chapter is now virtual)
Debi came home from the POC Conference held in Toronto with a great sense of accomplishment. This year served as a great learning curve.
When the POC "Calgary Chapter" was formed (2005-2006) Debi became a member and is still involved to date.

2006-2007
In 2007 Debi has served on the "Harold Taylor Award" task force/committee and was a mentor at this year 2007 POC Conference in Vancouver.
She has also become a mentor with the Canadian Redesigners Association.
2007 - 2008
Debi also became a member of the "POC National Board of Directors".
Her new role is "Director of Administration" for the 2007-2009 terms. She is looking forward to the challenge!
