Giving Back
National Organizing Week (NOWeek) is celebrated each year from May 1 - 7. This is an annual event sponsored by the Professional Organizers in Canada (POC).
Since 2002, POC has partnered with a national charity as part of this annual event. In 2003, the charity was Big Brothers Big Sisters; in 2004 our association joined forces with The Children’s Wish Foundation. In 2005 Debi took part in her first National Organizing Week Event. The Calgary (POC) organizers spent the day at the Calgary Ronald McDonald House.
For NOWeek 2006, Debi again participated as a (POC) member and worked at the Canadian Red Cross head office. Take out the click on NOWeek logo for details on the days events as you already can get the same information on clicking on the NOWeek 2006.
As for NOWeek 2007, the Professional Organizers in Canada - Calgary Chapter are very excited to be helping out a fabulous cause on May 1st & 2nd, Habitat for Humanity.
The 1st. was at the HFH Restores location and the 2nd. (Where Debi worked) was at the HFH work site. With the construction of the Townhouses comes many many volunteers that require many many tools and equipment. There were two large Atco trailers where all the site tools and equipment were housed. This is where we put our expertise to work. Requested by all employees and volunteers, they wanted a space that was more functional and intern a safer place to work.

NOWeek 2008
The POC - Calgary Chapter group were thrilled to be helping out (once again) the "Ronald MacDonald House Charity". With a beautiful new building and location, RMH found the transition a challenge.
As always it was a pleasure assisting them in getting their space in order. The Calgary group worked at their new location on May 5th for a full day.
Please visit the POC Calgary Chapter page to view the group photo. Thank You to everyone!
